Almost there
I'm so excited about Disney that I visit the Blog just so I can see the counter count down. To be honest, its been consuming all of my free time thinking about the trip and the fun that the kids would get to enjoy. I've already voiced my only request, which is to ride the Star Wars ride. I'm gonna bring my favorite toy (iphone) and hopefully get a chance to blog often.
For those who are following Jenny's facebook, I will confirm that yes, two weeks agoI did get my first kidney stone. On the way to taking Katie to school, as I was passing Rex Hospital, I suddenly felt this tremendous pain on my lower back, on the right side. I thought maybe I was having back spasms, but no matter how I moved in the car the pain was the same. So I went ahead and took Katie to school (felt better standing up anyway) and then called Jenny and told her I was coming to see her (i.e. I was driving to the Duke Raleigh ER). So long story short, 2 days of pain meds, a lot of peeing, and back to normal. WHEW! Thanks babe, for taking care of me and giving me my pain meds in the middle of the night!!
Any way, the kids are just a joy to be with. The other night, Katie got in trouble earlier for being rude and we had to punish her by taking away the priviledge of night-night with daddy on the weekends. But by bed time she manage to get back on mommie's good graces and stoicly reported to me as I came up stairs
"Mommie and I had a talk and I can night-night with you now"

And Carter...tonight he just tried to jump off the couch

Special Friend Day
One of my constant struggles is deciding on Katie and Carter's education. Katie is in Children's House at FCM and Carter will start Toddler House in the fall. So Angie thought it would be helpful for me to be Maddie's (who's in first grade at the same school) guest at the Grandparents/Special Friend Day at school so I can better decide if I want to send Katie and Carter through elementary school. Well, let me tell you, the invitation alone was impressive enough. Maddie wrote a poem on my personal invitation about Spinosaurus:
Spinosaurids were 18,000 pounds,
Their sails spun round and round.
When they get angry, they might frown,
If you stare at them, they will hunt you down.
I'm looking forward to the Special Friend Day. I'm sure Maddie will impress her Goo-Goo.

It's about time...for an update
I think this has been the longest between postings. It's not so much that not much has been going on. in fact, a whole lot has been going on. I am very much anticipating our trip down to Disney (nice job babe for putting the count down) in April. It's been crazy, weather wise, we had another snow day, followed by really cold weather. Then this past weekend we hit 80 degrees, we took advantage of the beautiful weather at a park in Cary
Carter really enjoys going down slides. It's his favorite thing to do in gymnastics class too.

Katie was running around every where, but she still had time to stop and let us take some pictures.

As a matter of fact
On the way home from church today, we let the kids indulge in some chips, cheetos to be exact. Of course Katie was in charge of rationing out the portions. We asked her to share with Carter which she responded "I am, but he is eating them too fast!!!"

Silly Gooses
Back to Business as usual. According to Katie's teachers, she is progressing well at school and she is taking on some new and challenging work. All the while she is being the best big sister in the world.

Carter just had his 18 month check up and nothing that we didn't already know, that he's got a big round head!

Ever wonder what the Yu Family does at night that causes the kids to never make it to bed on time?
There you go

Tattle tale...
One things I love doing is reminiscing about Katie when she was Carter's age
