It's about time...for an update

I think this has been the longest between postings. It's not so much that not much has been going on. in fact, a whole lot has been going on. I am very much anticipating our trip down to Disney (nice job babe for putting the count down) in April. It's been crazy, weather wise, we had another snow day, followed by really cold weather. Then this past weekend we hit 80 degrees, we took advantage of the beautiful weather at a park in Cary

Carter really enjoys going down slides. It's his favorite thing to do in gymnastics class too.


Katie was running around every where, but she still had time to stop and let us take some pictures.

As a matter of fact

On the way home from church today, we let the kids indulge in some chips, cheetos to be exact. Of course Katie was in charge of rationing out the portions. We asked her to share with Carter which she responded "I am, but he is eating them too fast!!!"

Back to Business as usual. According to Katie's teachers, she is progressing well at school and she is taking on some new and challenging work. All the while she is being the best big sister in the world.



Carter just had his 18 month check up and nothing that we didn't already know, that he's got a big round head!

Tattle tale...

We were having dinner over with the Ma's one night. As we look over to the kids table, we saw that Katie was sitting in the chair but the chair was upside down. Just as we began to ask Katie to please sit appropriately, I notice that Maddie was mysteriously quiet. Then Carter comes running to us and points two fingers, one at each each upside down chair(because Maddie's chair was upside down too), saying "oh, oh oh"

Snow Day - Part Deux

Ok, so I feel bad - I made fun of Carter for being such a chicken so I'll post a makeup story. After a nap, we decided to go back outside. This time, he was a little bit better.



We even went sledding (funny thing - initially he was crying bloody murder so I just dumped him in my lap, hopped on the sled, and took off down the hill. By the time we got down to the bottom he was asking for more!!)

For us in NC, snow is one of the most exciting things since...sliced bread! But the snow that has fallen last night and right now has been the best kind of all soft, big, and without any ice. I had a couple of conference calls this morning, but since the news forecast called for it to taper off before noon I wanted to take the kids out (especially Carter) to see this once a year event.
